Art as a Catalyst
In light of the socio-ecological challenges of our times, several artists and cultural practitioners questioned their roles and responsibilities by imagining new ways of living for a more sustainable form of future, attempting to trigger social transformation, a shift in values, changes in environmental issues, or a crucial system change. Is art truly capable of making a difference?
In my research I examine and experiment with various artistic strategies and methodologies, participatory practices that attempt to address such issues, raise fundamental questions, offer new perspectives or alternative ways of being, doing – in order to explore the potential of art as a catalyst.
