General information
The Visual Arts Department offers an interdisciplinary alternative in the form of a three-year BA and a two-year MA for those who are either undecided about which visual art genre they wish to pursue and therefore wish to try their hand at each of these genres, or who are consciously seeking an interdisciplinary approach.
Both levels of training are organised into classes by year, each headed by a master class teacher. This is a combination of the traditional master's system at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the year-by-year system used at other universities, combining the advantages of both systems.
The Bachelor of Visual Arts programme introduces students to the materials, tools and techniques of the widest range of traditional and contemporary art genres, in order to give them the freedom to choose the most appropriate expression for their own creative work.
The Master of Fine Art aims to train artists capable of creating autonomous works of art who understand and use contemporary visual language in a way that is relevant to the international scene.
