Databases – Online journals :: Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem

AVAILABLE DATABASES

The subscribed databases are accessible from within the Hungarian University of Fine Arts network. Databases accessed within the university network do not require individual login.

University members community (faculty, students, and staff) can access the databases remotely using eduID (with their @mke.hu email addresses).

Remote access is possible by the University joining the eduID system at the initiative of the library. Detailed information about eduID can be found here: https://eduid.hu/

The eduID also enables access to a wide range of other web-based higher education and academic services. It is important to note that this feature applies only to databases and services subscribed to by the University or those available free of charge (i.e., it is not a universal login for every database).

On Hungarian websites, you generally need to hit the "eduID Login" button.

On the landing page of subscribed foreign databases, look for the option to log in via your institution or library (e.g., "Sign in via your institution"), then search for the name of the University either in Hungarian (Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem) or in English (Hungarian University of Fine Arts) in the scroll down menu or search interface that appears.

In the next window, log in using your personal email address ending in @mke.hu and your password. This login page is operated by the university, so the password you enter is not shared with external service providers. You only need to log in once per session.

Once logged in, the database can be used just as if you had accessed it from a library computer.

University faculty members can also access the databases via VPN.

Assistance with accessing the databases is available via email tot ha librarians. Email address konyvtar@mke.hu .
