Today, our homes are no longer simply private spaces, but also platforms of communication. Personal identity, self-expression, and online presence simultaneously shape the way we live, arrange our environments, and present ourselves to others.
The diploma exhibition “Shared Spaces – Home on Both Sides of the Screen” explores how the concept of home is changing under the influence of digital space, social media, and algorithm-driven culture. Where does the boundary between private and public lie today? How does the feeling of being constantly observed shape our relationship to our personal interiors? And what differences emerge in the idea of home across generations?
The project reflects on contemporary experiences of home through five distinct lifestyles and communities:
– people following a zero-waste lifestyle
– performing artists
– people living in rented apartments or dormitories
– gamer and anime communities
– remote and home office workers
The exhibition takes the form of an apartment exhibition, featuring installations, workshops, and discussions where visitors are invited not only to observe, but also to actively participate.
We warmly welcome everyone to the opening and the three-day exhibition to reflect together on what it truly means to feel at home today.
