The Hungarian University of Fine Arts warmly invites you to an English-language guided tour of its major exhibition celebrating the 125th anniversary of the birth of renowned Hungarian artist Jenő Barcsay (1900–1988).

Venue: HUFA, Main Building, Hungarian University of Fine Arts (1062 Budapest, Andrássy út 69–71)

This exclusive guided tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the life and legacy of Jenő Barcsay, a defining figure of 20th-century Hungarian art. The event takes place in the historic setting of the university where he studied, taught, and shaped generations of Hungarian artists.
Exhibition highlights include:
• Rarely seen and newly discovered works from public and private collections
• Women (1964) – a monumental charcoal drawing on public display for the first time in 60 years
• Barcsay’s iconic anatomical illustrations and mosaics
• Comparative works by German anatomy professor Gottfried Bammes
• A contemporary reinterpretation of Barcsay’s impact on art education and abstraction
Following the tour, light refreshments will be served, providing an opportunity for informal conversation and networking within the artistic and cultural community.
